What is offered here?

 

Here you find tailor-made monitor background images with Bible quotations in their middle. The quotations from the Old and New Testament are sorted according to subjects. New subjects always appear with 12 images, and they are filled with the time up to approx. 50. Every image is available at the moment for 10 different monitor resolution and in 5 different aspect ratios (4:3; 5:4; 8:5; netbook; notebook), so also for wide monitors.

All photos are made by ourselves. We are striving to present sunny impressions from all seasons which look mainly cheering up. Less well successful motives, or those of worse quality are exchanged with the time, whereas of course everything is subjective.
Because we live at the time in Hungary, most images still come from this land. But also unites from Slovakia, from the higher mountains, and some from Croatia, among other those with the blue Adriatic.
In the filename of the images there is an abbreviation which displays the image location. Images with IM1 became made, e.g., in or around our place of residence Istenmezeje, in the north low mountain range in the north-east of Hungary. There will be later one more page with map and with the list of the decodet local abbreviations.

 

The Selecting the Bible quotations for the images is executed on account of the basic texts, so that one is not influenced from, perhaps, inexact or often unavoidably to single-sided translations. The original words just often have several meanings. It helps to consider them all, therefore, all are stated for selecting of the places to used words, together with her English correspondences on the subject pages in front.
The English meanings come from the Strong’s Dictionary of the Authorized version (AV). They are not absolutely topical, but are suited for an overview.
The positioning of the Bible texts in the pictures is vertically different, according to which like it seems most optimum. However, horizontally they remain in the middle, so that their position remains more or less calculable for the users, and the text is not covered by program-icons or other objects possibly.

 

Up to now more than 20 subjects are in planning. In some cases the 50 Bible-places per topic come difficult or not at all together, in other cases, there are much more edifying places, than 50. Thus there will not be, in any case, 50 images per subject, sometimes less, sometimes more. But that is clear, it will seem there not only the often cited, famous and beloved places, but also less known and liked. However those are just as useful and necessary. The big selection will be one of the strengths of this project which can contribute significantly to the mental and spiritual health, thus one uses it. I would like to remind of the first half of the first psalm here: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of Yahweh, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
